The Thai province of Isaan is a hotbed of Muay Thai talent, home to multitudes of Lumpinee and Rajadamnern champions. Namkabuan Rajapruek Cafe, from the prestigious Lookchaomaesaithong Gym, is a multi champion from Muay Thai's golden era of the 80s.
Having retired from competitive Muay Thai, he now runs Lookchaomaesaithong Gym, managing a stable of winning fighters of all weight classes who live/train exclusively out of Buriram and are frequently carded in Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium.
He is an 'A' licensed Kru of the MTBSA (World Muay Thai and Muay Boran Sports Association), the first and only association registered and recognized by Ministry of Tourism and Sports in Thailand and authorized to give official Khan grades.
Arjun Namkabuan has thus far been a guest instructor in many foreign gyms, including Coban Gym in New York City USA, Saigon Sports Club in Ho Chih Min Vietnam and as head coach for the China national team at JF Boxing Stadium in Pattaya Thailand. As the 3rd generation owner of the Chotison family gym, camp boss and wife of Arjun Namkabuan, Nipaporn 'Jew' Chotison, oversees the daily operations and fight arrangements of the gym.
With over 50 years of Muay Thai heritage, this gym has produced many past champions like Coban Lookchaomaesaithong and current champions like Saksit Lookchaomaesaithong.
Today, the gym continues the Thai tradition of raising up the next generation of Muay Thai champions and while also offering classes to all wanting to learn the art of Muay Thai in an authentic Muay Thai gym, or just simply aiming to keep fit and stay healthy!
